ABBC ushers are dedicated to serving the Lord Jesus Christ by meeting the needs of His people for the worship services. As the initial point of contact, we contribute to the tone of the worship service with a warm and friendly welcome. 

 

Our responsibilities include:

 

• Acting as doorkeepers

• Greeting people as they arrive for the service

• Distributing the bulletins

• Helping guests find a seat

• Assisting people with special needs

• Directing visitors to the nursery, restrooms, and other parts of the building

• Collecting the offering

• Ensuring availability of hymnals, offering envelopes, Bibles, and visitors’ cards

• Monitoring and securing the facility, including the parking lot

• Taking the lead during emergency situations

• Tidying up the sanctuary after service

An usher is an honorable position at ABBC that requires integrity, cordiality, and wisdom. We are here to serve and ensure “all things are done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40).
