MEN'S MINISTRY
Men’s Steering Committee
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17 (ESV)
The purpose of the Men’s Steering Committee is to plan activities that encourage and support the men at ABBC in our relationship with Jesus Christ and with each other. These activities include:
Monthly Prayer Breakfast: On the first Saturday of the month, ABBC men meet for a breakfast to encourage one another in Christlikeness, challenge one another to be faithful in our responsibilities as men, and intercede for our families and church. One of the brothers in the fellowship brings a message.
Annual Men’s Retreat: In October, we go on retreat to the Hickory Knob State Park Resort where we experience true worship, relevant workshops/messages, outdoor activities, and great food. This time away helps us recharge as we press on to be the men God has called us to be.
Men and Boys’ Outings: To become godly men, boys need exposure to godly men. Annually, men and boys at ABBC have an activity that fosters a connection with each other in the natural world.
Valentine’s Banquet: We arrange a catered meal, beautiful decorations, and enjoyable program that includes all adults in the church and focuses on the love of God.
Mother’s Day: We honor the ladies of the church with roses and gifts.
All men who attend ABBC are considered part of the men’s ministry and are encouraged to participate in these activities.
